Nurturing and Cultivating Curiosity

Playgroup - Grade 2

“Pre-primary Education is the first stepping stone in the education ladder of a Child’s Life”

In our youngest learners (Playgroup - Grade 2), we ignite curiosity and joy through a play-based approach. Activities like storytelling, role-play, and exploration help children build strong social, emotional, and cognitive foundations. In the Early Years, we focus on:

  • Play-Based Learning: Utilizing structured play to develop cognitive and motor skills.
  • Social Development: Encouraging interaction to build communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Emotional Growth: Creating a supportive environment for emotional expression and understanding.
  • Introduction to Literacy and Numeracy: Laying the groundwork for reading, writing, and mathematical concepts.
  • Encouraging Inquiry: Promoting a questioning attitude where students are encouraged to ask ‘why’ and ‘how,’ fostering a deeper understanding of the natural world.
  • Hands-On Science Experiments: Engaging in simple, age-appropriate experiments, such as mixing colors, exploring magnets, or observing plant growth, to foster a scientific bent of mind.

We use a combination of auditory as well as visual learning supported by superior technology based learning aids that enhance the learning experience.

Activities have been thoughtfully crafted, keeping in mind multiple intelligences.

A Special Kit is given to every child with all the educative material required throughout the session.

Special Resource Centres and Activity rooms such as Reading Corner, Arts & Crafts Corner, Play Zone etc. help in the overall development of a child.

Excursions, and Educational Trips are part of the learning process as well.

Through the Linguistics Training Programme, we focus on the development of linguistic skills from a very young age in children.

Parental involvement and collaboration

Parents are an essential support system in the education process for a child and for this reason, we keep them informed about the activities and developments that occur in the school via:

  • Regular Parent Teacher Meetings
  • Parent Workshops
  • Open – House Sessions
  • School Website
